AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Petrol, diesel prices in Agartala remain high on Wednesday as nationally also, the fuel prices are going higher amid much protests and objections from the opposition. Petrol Price in Agartala recorded Rs. 80.46 on Wednesday, Diesel Price Rs. 75.20. Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in metros on Wednesday, with diesel remaining costlier than petrol in Delhi. State-run oil marketing companies had increased the prices of petrol and diesel in metros on most days since they returned to the normal practice of daily reviews following a 12-week hiatus. In the national capital, the price of petrol currently is Rs 80.43 per litre, and that rate of diesel Rs 80.53 per litre, according to notifications from state-run Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest fuel retailer.Jet fuel or ATF price on Wednesday was hiked by 7.5 per cent, the third increase in a month, while petrol and diesel rates were unchanged for the second day in a row.
