New Delhi, Oct 20 (TIWN) Two soldiers and a civilian were killed in a ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, defence sources said, adding that India has launched retaliatory firing.
Eight people including three army personnel are injured, they said. Six houses have also been destroyed in Pakistani shelling. Ceasefire violations were reported from Tangdhar, Nowgam and Kupowara sectors of LOC. A house and a rice godown were completely damaged, two cars damaged and two cow shelters with 19 cattle & sheep inside, destroyed. According to locals, the maximum damage has been done in Chitrakoot village where six houses have been destroyed in Pakistani firing. According to a statement by the Indian Army, "Indian forces cause heavy damages and casualty to Pakistan after two Indian soldiers and one civilian were killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Tangdhar sector (Jammu and Kashmir) today."
