Jammu, Dec 8 (TIWN / IANS) Fourteen people were killed and 16 others injured on Saturday when a bus fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said on Saturday.

While 11 people died instantly in Mandi area after the disaster, three critically injured passengers succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.

Three other seriously injured passengers have been flown to Jammu College Hospital for specialized treatment.

The accident reportedly occurred when the driver lost control over the bus. Senior officials rushed to Mandi to supervise relief and rescue operations.
