Lucknow, Dec 8 (TIWN / IANS) Two coaches of a goods train derailed in Uttar Pradesh's Farukkhabad district on Saturday, a railway official said.
The incident took place near Rajepur village, 1 kilometre from the Kamalganj station at around 6.15 a.m. As a result, rail traffic on the Farukhabad-Kanpur route has been disrupted.
The train's guard has been seriously injured and was rushed to a nearby medical facility, according to the official.
More than 500-metres of rail track has been ripped off and all passenger trains on the route have been stopped.
