AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): The last 20 living Israeli hostages have been released by Hamas after 738 days of captivity. The release follows a ceasefire deal brokered by US President Donald Trump, which aims to bring an end to the devastating two-year war between Israel and Hamas. The freed hostages were handed over to the Red Cross and transferred to Israeli forces. They will undergo medical evaluations before being reunited with their families.
Over 1,700 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the hostages. The deal also involves the return of the bodies of 28 hostages who died in captivity. President Trump is expected to meet with world leaders to discuss the future of Gaza and the implementation of the peace plan.

The release of the hostages has been met with celebrations in Israel and Gaza, with many hoping for a new beginning.
Meanwhile IDF announced, "It’s official: There are no more living Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity."
