AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised US President Trump on his successful ceasefire attempt between Israel and Hamas. The Prime Minister called US President and also Israeli Prime Minister that he announced on X.
"I called my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu, to congratulate him on the progress made within the framework of President Trump's peace plan to end the war in Gaza. We welcome the agreement to release the hostages and the increase in humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza. I reiterated and emphasized that terrorism, in any form or expression, is unacceptable anywhere in the world," said PM Modi.
"Spoke to my friend, President Trump and congratulated him on the success of the historic Gaza peace plan. Also reviewed the good progress achieved in trade negotiations. Agreed to stay in close touch over the coming weeks," in another post Modi said.
“Last night we reached a momentous breakthrough in the Middle East,” said President Trump at his cabinet meeting. “Something someone said, never going to be done.”
“We ended the war in Gaza,” said Trump after the US resolved a complicated 2-Year conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“We secured all the release of all the remaining hostages and they should be released on Monday or Tuesday. Getting them back is a complicated process and I would rather not tell you what we had to do to get them,” said President Trump to the media.
“It will be a day of joy ! We are going to try to get over there. We are working on timing. We are going to go to Egypt,” said Trump.
Trump also said, various countries' leaders will remain present on that occasion. Trump further thanked countries that helped during the negotiation process.
“That is really something incredible that no one thought was possible to get it done,” said Trump. “Very importantly the hostages are coming back!!”
