NEW DELHI, June 14 : Amid the ongoing G7 outreach summit in Italy, US President Joe Biden on Friday called India its critical minerals partner. In addition to India, the US President mentioned Brazil and Argentina as well.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet with several world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.
Reportedly, the two leaders are likely to have a pull-aside meeting because of the time constraints. This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since they last met during the COP28 Summit in Abu Dhabi last year.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden and PM Modi recently had a telephonic conversation over the latter’s electoral victory in the Lok Sabha Election 2024. Biden congratulated PM Modi, with his administration saying that it was looking forward to continuing to further its partnership with India to promote prosperity and innovation, address the climate crisis and ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
