Suu Kyi's jail term halved by 2 yrs

Nay Pyi Taw, Dec 8 (TIWN) The four-year jail sentences of Aung San Suu Kyi, the former de facto leader of Myanmar who was ousted during the February 1 military coup, as well as deposed President Win Myint have been halved by two years by the ruling military regime.
Aung San Suu Kyi, 76, has been detained since the generals staged a coup and ousted her government on Feb 1, ending the Southeast Asian country's brief period of democracy.
