Iraqis vote in snap parliamentary polls

Baghdad, Oct 10 (TIWN) Millions of Iraqis headed to cast their ballots on Sunday to elect a new Parliament amid hopes that it could solve the country's long-standing crisis.
Electronic devices will automatically close the voting process at 6:00 pm local time (1500 GMT). According to the country's Independent High Electoral Commission, the results are expected to be announced in 24 hours afterwards.
