Japan instructs domestic carriers to ground Boeing 777s

Tokyo, Feb 22 (TIWN) Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has ordered domestic carriers to halt flights of Boeing 777s after an incident involving the aircraft sparked concern, local media reported Monday.
The transport ministry here was alarmed when a Boeing 777 jet engine failed shortly after the plane had taken off in the United States, Xinhua reported.
