Dhaka, Feb 14 (TIWN) Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, and Nayeem Hasan took a wicket each on Saturday to help Bangladesh end the third day of the second Test against West Indies on a high but the visitors remain in front with a lead of 154 runs. West Indies ended the day on 41 runs for the loss of three wickets in their second innings at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
Bangladesh made a positive start to the day with overnight batsmen Mohammad Mithun and Mushfiqur Rahim making a confident start. However, a decisive bowling change from both ends worked wonders for West Indies as Rahkeem Cornwall made the breakthrough after Rahim got to his fifty. Mithun played a loose stroke to hit one straight to short midwicket where the skipper Kraigg Brathwaite took a neat low catch. Cornwall struck again soon after snapping the big fish Rahim as well. The former skipper miscued a shot after attempting a reverse sweep as Bangladesh slid further.
