Washington, March 14 (TIWN) The US House of Representatives on Saturday passed a relief package for Americans hit by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The vote, which concluded after 12:30 a.m., was 363-40-1. That sets up a Senate vote that could happen early next week.
President Donald Trump had tweeted that Democrats and Republicans should vote yes on the measure, and that he was looking forward to signing it.
The bill's bipartisan passage, 363-40, was virtually assured when President Donald Trump backed the measure — largely hammered out by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin — and urged Republicans to support the bill.
