20 hurt in Beirut anti-government protests

Beirut, Dec 17 (TIWN) At least 20 people have been injured after clashes erupted between protesters and security forces in the Lebanese capital for a second straight day since anti-government rallies began in the country two months ago.
The violence that started on Sunday and lasted into the early hours of Monday outside the Parliament in central Beirut came on the eve of talks the Lebanese President Michel Aoun was expected to hold with parliamentary blocs to name a new premier, reports Efe news.
