Islamabad, Oct 17 (TIWN) Britain's royal couple Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge on Wednesday visited a melting mountain-top glacier in northern Pakistan to see the impact of climate change.
This morning the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in the city of Chitral, in the Hindu Khush, where they were presented with Chitrali hats.
The couple were also given a photo-book remembering Princess Diana’s 1991 visit to the area, which included pictures of her in similar traditional attire.
Kate was heard admiring the embroidery of a coat draped around her shoulders before the couple headed to the northern tip of the Chiatibo Glacier in Broghil National Park.
There, they both witnessed a melting glacier for the first time as they discussed the impact of climate change on Pakistan.
