Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed wins Nobel Peace Prize

Oslo, Oct 11 (TIWN) Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been awarded the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to "achieve peace and international cooperation" in the African nation, especially his "decisive initiative" to resolve the two-decade border conflict with Eritrea, it was announced on Friday.

According to the Twitter handle of the Nobel Prize, Abiy Ahmed Ali won the award for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation and for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea.  Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has been awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea.
