AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Three Days International Conference inaugurated by Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, His Excellency Governor of Tripura and Chief Rector of Tripura University on today in the Academic Building XI, Auditorium-II. Prof. V. L. Dharurkar, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Tripura University presides over the program. In the said program while delivering the inaugural speech Prof. Solanki said mathematics is a very potential subject for improving the standard of life of human being.
Application of mathematics is vital for the human development so conducting research on the subject will help a great deal for the bright future of humanity he added. While speaking addressing the gathering Prof. V. L. Dharurkar said Zero was discovered by the scholar of India. He also added that Mathematics is a cream of all sciences and social sciences including social sciences and it is base of the entire subject. Further, Prof. Saburou Saitoh, Institute of Reproducing Kernels, Japan as a Guest of Honour said “India is great for mathematical science and Philosophy” while giving the keynote address in the inaugural program. Prof. M. D. Jahagirdar, Marathwada University, Maharastra has also expressed his views as a Special Guest of the program. Prof. S. Banik, Dean Science was present in the program. In the coming three days, around 160 delegates will be participating from across the country along with four other countries viz: Japan, Nepal, Bangladesh and others. The inaugural program ended with vote of thanks given by Prof. M. K. Singh, Registrar (i/c).
