Maldives President visits Taj Mahal

Agra Dec 18 (TIWN / IANS) Maldives' newly-elected President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Tuesday afternoon visited the 17th century Mughal monument of love, the Taj Mahal.
At the Kheria airport, he was received by district officials and UP's Minister for Energy Kant Sharma.
ASI officials who accompanied him said the President spent an hour evincing keen interest in the intricate architecture and history.
For the tourists, the Taj remained closed for nearly two hours.
