Islamabad, Dec 15 (TIWN / IANS) At least six security personnel have been killed during an anti-terror operation in Pakistan's Balochistan province.
The terrorists launched a bomb attack on a police vehicle in Turbat district, near the Iran border, while a raid was underway in a hideout on Friday night.
"Terrorists targeted one of the vehicles of security forces through IED," Pakistan armed Forces media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, said in a statement.
Four terrorists were also killed in the clashes between the armed forces and the militants.
Balochistan is one of the most conflict-torn areas of Pakistan with the presence of separatist groups, Taliban factions and terrorist groups.
In July, 149 people were killed in an attack on an electoral rally, one of the worst attacks in Pakistan's history.
