AGARTALA, Jan 18 (TIWN): After the declaration of election date, State BJP has begun its campaigning in full waves. The rallies have been named as 'Vijay Sankalp Rallies'.
Across every Mandals the campaigning will be done allover in Tripura. At Bordowali, a rally was conducted led by MLA Asish Saha and there will be more rallies led by other topmost BJP leaders.
After the election date was declared, BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar tweeted, "On 18th Feb polling will be held in Tripura & results on 3rd March! On declaration of results. Tripura will be celebrating Mukti Diwas more than Vijay Diwas ! Need your blessings!"
Noteworthy, assembly elections in Tripura will be conducted on February 18, while people in Meghalaya and Nagaland will be voting on February 27. Counting of votes in all the three states in the north-east is on March 3.
"The code of conduct has come into effect from today in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura ahead of the assembly elections in these three states", Chief Election Commissioner AK Jyoti told reporters. All the three states have 60 seats each in their assembly.
