AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): The 45th state level Jawaharlal Nehru Science, Mathematics, environmental exhibition-2018 was organized by state council of education research and training, government of Tripura, has started today at Maharani Tulsi Bati girls higher secondary school.
Minister Bijita Nath has inaugurates 45th Science Fair.
The theme and sub-themes of the Science Fair are Science, Society and Environment, agriculture and food security, energy and conservation, mathematics in everyday life, health, disaster management, environmental issues and concerns and water crisis and management.
Speaking in the science fair Science and Technology minister Bijita Nath said that bringing together students from urban and rural high schools, the fair enabled us to raise awareness of chemistry and the chemical sciences amongst schools across the region. The Local Section actively encourages rural schools, giving them a chance to participate in events like science fair, she added.
If the students are properly trained, they could help it vault over emerging country competitors. Improving science education, and thereby attracting more young people to the sciences, is a win-win situation, she mentioned.
