AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): To connect Tripura with Bangalore, Humsafar express has arrived here in Agartala Railway Station, which will be inaugurated by Rajen Gohain, Minister of Railway for State on 4th January. Since 2016 various express trains including Tripura Sundari Express, Rajdhani Express were inaugurated in Agartala Railway Station and finally by connecting state Tripura with Bangalore, the Northeast State is all set to be connected with South India under the Modi Govt at Centre. The Humsafar Express's inauguration was announced on 29th December by NFR. The proposal of extension of 12503 / 12504 KYG / BNC Humsafar Express from KYQ up to Agartala was accepted with 14 coaches' allowance.

Excitement, happiness have gripped the station workers, employees, passengers across Agartala Railway Station as the inauguration hours are knocking on door.

 TIWN spot visited and talked to all sections of people who gathered at the Ralway Station. Local people, children and also youngsters from the city are visiting after the express train's arrival news had been spread.

In 2016 before the Broad gauge, Agartala Railway Station was seen less busy, less crowded but today due to the availability of local trains as well as express trains the station remains all the time busy amidst tight security.

1 Year 6 months back on July 31st, 2016 the then Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu turned emotional, excited after seeing the mass gathering of Tripura people at Agartala Railway Station. Prabhu clearly said, "I never saw such a crowd like this. The mass gathering says how much Tripura's passengers have been waiting for Express. So, Delhi is no more far away with Tripura Sundari's inauguration". 

Suresh Prabhu who held the Railway Ministry at Centre for 3 yrs has been successful for Northeast Connectivity development. While inaugurating Tripura Sundari Express, which was the 1st Express chugged on Tripura soil, he said, "This is nothing many Sundaris will come in coming days".

Proving the words and intension of the Modi Govt again as true Rajen Gohain to inaugurate the  Humsafar Express train on Thursday. The train service will also extended from Udaipur to Garji on the same day. The Railway Minister for State Rajen Gohain will be inaugurating the Railway Station on the same day at Udaipur.
