AGARTALA, Dec 26 (TIWN): CPI-M has remembered Chinese poet and revolutionary Mao Zedong today at Melarmath Party Office on his birth anniversary, but unfortunately the same Communist Party didn't observe the death anniversary of Nripen Chakraborty, the most honest and first CPI-M's strongest leader and also the first Chief Minister of CPI-M in Tripura.
Bijan Dhar, the state party secretary of CPI-M and others have given tributes to Mao Zedong at the party Head Quarter today morning.
But CPI-M was strongly criticized yesterday after other parties as TMC, BJP had remembered Nripen Chakraborty, whereas no programme was conducted by CPI-M.
Grandson of Nripen Chakraborty on Trinamool dais said, "My grandfather was treated very badly by CPI-M. The last 9 years were full of insults and at the end he was suspended from the party ! But grandfather was the 'Rupkar' (Designer) of Tripura".
"Nripen Chakraborty didn't get his deserved respect, who was not only a CPI-M leader but also a freedom fighter", Sandeep Chakraborty.
Noteworthy, Nripen Chakraborty was the political 'Guru' of Manik Sarkar but it was Manik Sarkar, who failed to pay back the minimum respect to his own Guru.
