AGARTALA, Dec 25 (TIWN): After Tripura's slain journalist Sudip Datta Bhoumik's murder, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had given a jolt to the CPI-M by offering Govt job under West Bengal Govt to the killed journalist's son; now Didi is again back to expose Melarmath's dirty politics ! Today on the occasion of 13th death anniversary of the former and first Tripura CPI-M Chief Minister Nripen Chakraborty, Trinamool Congress has remembered him and also discussion meet was conducted on that occasion among at the Agartala Trinamool Office. Well, on the other side CPI-M has not conducted a single programme for their former Chief Minister. When for all foreigners who are killers of millions like Stalin, Lenin CPI-M Party leaders as Bijan Dhar, Gautam Das shed their tears but the most honest Chief Minister Nripen Chakraborty, the party has no space.

Talking to TIWN, Sandeep Chakraborty (grandson of Nripen Chakraborty) who was invited in the programme by TMC, he said, "There is no politics and I have just invited by the Trinamools here but I can say that my grandfather was treated very badly by CPI-M. The last years of his life was full of insults and the person who was also a freedom fighter, was suspended from the party ! But grandafther was the 'Rupkar' (Designer) of Tripura".

"Nripen Chakraborty didn't get his deserved respect, who was not only a CPI-M leader but also a freedom fighter", Sandeep Chakraborty.

Chakraborty also said, from this year TMC will remember Nripen Chakraborty every year. 

Noteworthy, Nripen Chakraborty was the 1st Chief Minister from CPI-M in ripura and till day he is remarked as the best Chief Minister of Tripura. No opposition leader  could also deny that he was the best CM of Tripura. 

He was born at Bikrampur in Dhaka Dist  of Bengal province of British India (present-day Bangladesh). He was the ninth child of Rajkumar and Uttamsunadari Chakraborty. He passed the entrance examination from Outsahi High School in 1925. He left his studies in Dhaka University to join the Indian freedom movement. In 1931, he took part in the civil disobedience movement. He joined the Communist Party of India in 1934.

He was elected secretary of the Bengal unit of the party in 1937. In 1950, he was sent to Tripura by the party, and became an important organizer there, but the ending was just his grandson has described to TIWN.
