Addiction to drugs kills valuable human resource : Sister B K Kabita

UDAIPUR, August 21 (TIWN): "These days a large number of youths in India have already fallen in the deadly trap of drugs and this is a sheer wastage of country's valuable human resource. And in order to bring these youths back to the main stream of life everyone has to go through self thinking and those who are addiction have a crucial role to play," these words were uttered by Sister B K Kabita, the Chief Anchor of Prajapita Bramhakumari University's India and Bangladesh wings during the concluding session of three day long 'My Tripura, Addiction Free Tripura' in Killa Community.

Prajapita Brahma Kumari University has begun its month long programme 'My India, Addiction Free India' across state. It will continue for one month. Killa BAC Chairman Amrita Sadhan Jamatia, Vice Chairman Gobinda Hari Jamatia, Killa PHC incharge Dr Dhana Manik Tripura remained present on the session. Sister B K Pragga presided over the programme.

Speaking to 600 participants Sister B K Kabita said," Scientists have shown that 1 cigarette kills 8 minutes from a man's life and thus it is easily imaginable how harmful cigarette can be for those who are chain smokers. Again wine too results in domestic violence, disturbance between husbands and wives and breaking of family happiness. Only by good thinking and giving up the company of addicted one can be free from addiction. And Raj Yog Meditation greatly helps in saying Bye Bye to drugs and wine.

"She urged those to come forwards in this cleansing movement who themselves are free from addiction. In charge of Kills PHC Dr Dhana Manik Tripura said, "I am grateful that I have never taken any drugs not even cigarette and wine in my life. It your responsibility to make an agitation of Addiction Free India." Kills BAC Chairman praised the initiatives taken by the Bramha Kumari University stressing that this type of camp must continue for a long time.

    Speaking to TIWN Bramha Kumari University's Gomati and South District Chief Anchor Sister B K Pragga told," Today it is the concluding day of Kills session. But we will continue such camps in Karbook, Ampi and Karbook Block areas. The month long district wise programme will end in Kakraban Block in September."
