AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): With another major jolt for Tripura CPI-M Govt's ongoing misuse of power, SSA Welfare Association Secretary Bastab Debbarma has written a letter to the Election Commission of India, alleging State Govt's misuse of power and forcing the contractual employees into Election works. In a letter the Chief Election Commission, New Delhi, Bastab Debbarma wrote, "The SSA Teachers of Tripura have been working in state govt schools since 2004, as like as the teachers who appointed by the Directorate of Elementary Education, Govt of Tripura. But it's regret to say that the Govt of Tripura doesn't give us financial benefits like DA, TA, CA, HRA, MA etc. We get only honourium instead of it".

 The SSA teachers further wrote, "In reference to the Directorate of Elementary Education dept vide letter N. F. 1 (91-1 DEE/ ESST/ 2016/ 3445 / dated- 7/1/2017 said that the SSA Teachers are not governed by CCS (CCA) rules. It means if any SSA Teacher die during Election duty, we will not get any financial benefits from the state govt. So, kindly release us from the Election duty  and also do not appoint us in the upcoming election-2018".

 Tripura SSA teachers, who are sharing a loins part of the school education system of Tripura, have become almost a pillar of the Education Dept, but even after long 15-17 yrs of service the SSA were not regularized led repeated protests, hungers strikes by the helpless teachers. But till day Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is not ready to meet the teachers demands and it has been long 7 years atleast that the CM is escaping from the ground of SSA’s regularization. On the other side, Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty is trying to portray a fictitious story with the help of CPI-M backed TCGEA teachers, which is actually far away from SSA’s welfare.
