AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): 159 Battalion Border Security Force has celebrated 52nd BSF Raising Day at its Campus Dangzawl, Serchhip in Mizoram with full gaiety and enthusiasm.

A lot of activities were organised at BSF Campus Dangzawl including sports, Cultural and Barakhana for the troops and guests. Beside this, the  pack of sweets were also distributed to its counterpart Border Guard Bangladesh and also among the students of local schools. The program was attended by the officers of Assam Rifles, District Administration and  state Police . Eminent civilian dignitaries also attended the BSF Raising Day. 

Sh L S Dahiya Commandant 159 Battalion BSF  thanked the distinguished guests for gracing the occasion and joining BSF troops on BSF raising day. BSF troops were seen with  extra enthusiasm and highly motivated. 

159 Battalion BSF maintains  very good relation  with the local population of Mizoram and enjoy a very high reputation  as they had rendered yeoman service to the local population  during the flash flood situatiojn in Mizoran during the month of June this year.

Beside this ,  they are working on many projects with civilian population like yoga awareness, computer literacy among the border population, Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan, Blood donation, free medical camps, civic action programs, Green Mizoram- Clean Mizoram, Sanitation and hygiene, health awareness, drug eradication, etc.
