AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Finally, after 1 week the four kidnapped bank officials of Tripura Gramin Bank have returned home together, which has increased mass surprise among the public as now it’s almost clear that the kidnapping was just a drama with an ill motive. Surprisingly, all of them have been returned their homes without any help from the police and no physical injury was found on their bodies. When media went to Agartala Ramanagar’s resident Sujit Chandra Dey’s house, he behaved very roughly with the media persons and denied to give any interview or hold any talk further. But the media persons waited for a long in front of his house. This incident has triggered much resentment among the common people as from politicians to bankers all had come in mass protests demanding their rescues.

Police also ran to and fro behind them and the kidnappers, but they remained untraced. But how did they return home today safely, it has triggered question.

Taidu Branch Manager Tanumoy Bhattacharjee, 30, Sujit Chandra Dey, 28, and Raktim Bhowmik, 31, were said as abducted on last Friday night by armed miscreants while returning by car to Agartala through Teliamura. Subrata Debbarma, 32, was riding a motorcycle when he was abducted.
Along with police, Tripura State Rifles and other security forces meanwhile had continued to search for the abducted officials in Khowai, Dhalai, and Gomati districts, Gomati.

Director General of Police Akhil Kumar Shukla and other senior officials were supervising the manhunt.  But whereas the vehicles (one bike, one car) were found but the bank officials remained untraced.

On that time, families of the officials said an unidentified person called up and demanded Rs 20 lakh each for the release of the bank staff.
