AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar yesterday even though uttered his political views, brought false accusation to his rival BJP for attacking Hindu temples, but not a single line the Chief Minister could dare to utter against the Sonamura based cattle smugglers who killed BSF Officer Dipak Mandal brutally. Around 25 smugglers had killed the BSF officer, the case remained without proper investigation but not a single condemnation by the Chief Minister amidst his colouring about Hindu temple attacks and attacks upon Muslims etc talks.

Being the Home Minister Manik Sarkar’s speech was just as surprising as his Independence Day’s speech.

Addressing at Muslim dominated Sonamura, Chief Minister instead of talking about harmony and peace stressed upon the recently held attacks upon Hindu temples in Tripura during Madrassa hostel inauguration.

Indirectly, CM wanted to mean that BJPs have done this as he said, ‘whatever across the nation is happening in Tripura also same is happening’.

‘Don’t think him mad who broke Loknath’s head, it was planwise done’, said CM.

However question raised if BJP has done it and CM knows that the person who broke Loknath's head  was a BJP cadre and not mad, then being the home minister why he is not taking action ?

But why CM could not condemn the BSF murder ?, question remains.

Deepak Kumar Mandal, a Border Security Force (BSF) commanding officer who was attacked by cattle smugglers in Tripura's Sipahijala district on Oct 16, succumbed to his injuries on Oct 20 in Kolkata. The BSF Officer was injured while counter attacking cattle smugglers at Sonamura, had left in deep coma for 4 days. Mandal was undergoing treatment at Medica Hospital, suffering from multiple haemorrage in brain. The cattle smugglers attacked a Border Security Force (BSF) commanding officer along the Indo-Bangla border in Tripura in the early hours of the day.

But alas, not a single word the Chief Minister dedicated for the brave soul.
