SONAMURA / AGARTALA Nov 10 (TIWN): 2 BSF officials have consequently died in Tripura's Bangladesh lined Sonamura border in last 22 days, but Home Minister Manik Sarkar is yet to condemn on any of the single incident. With Charan Dass's unnatural death, there are now two unnatural deaths' report of BSF officials at Sonamura in last 21 days. Charan Dass, a resident of Jammu & Kashmir has died unnaturally at Sonamura border. Earlier, on Oct 16 one BSF officer Dipak Mandal was killed by smugglers of Sonamura in the border when Dipak Mandal countering some cattle smugglers. The incident took place at South Bhabanipur border fencing zone under Sonamura.

Charan Dass was in duty at 6 no-Gate of No-4 outpost at the Babhanipur New Nipaya BOP who was killed at night 2.30 AM but how the incident took place nothing is clear. Jatrapur Police has lodge an FIR against 'unnatural deadth' of the BSF Jawan. But no proper investigation is going on in those cases. Especially, the BSF murder took place in the hands of atleast 25 smugglers, but as per last information 2 only arrested in that case.

Recently, Tripura State Observer cum BJP National leader Sunil Deodhar told TIWN, "The earlier case of Mamun Mia and the involvement of Sahid Chowdhury clearly says that the Communist Govt here is felicitating the terrorist to enter and elope via India-Bangladesh border"."The State Govt here has intentionally paralyzed the border fencing work and didn't allow to complete the border fencing especially in places like Sonamura, Boxonagar, CM constituency Dhanpu, where ganja, phensedyl are manufactured, arms", said Deodhar.

"In such illegal manufacturing ,CPI-M Ministers have direct links and due that reason a recently a BSF's brave officer was killed by cattle smugglers' vehicles. This is really unfortunate and I condemn the incident", said Deodhar

Tripura BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha also had slammed the Chief Minister of Tripura for not condoling BSF Officer Dipak Kr Mandal's death led by smugglers' attack, which took place Chief Minister's own constituency's zone.

"To be a politician one must bear minimum humanity but the Chief Minister since the incident, till day has not uttered a single line for the brave soldier'', Sinha said.

Deepak Kumar Mandal, a Border Security Force (BSF) commanding officer who was attacked by cattle smugglers in Tripura's Sipahijala district on Monday, succumbed to his injuries on Oct 20 in Kolkata. The BSF Officer was injured while counter attacking cattle smugglers at Sonamura, had left in deep coma for 4 days.

Question raises, why BSF are only killed, not police if there is no loopholes in police duty ?
