AGARTALA, August 16 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary (sangathanmantri) Ramlalji today said during a visit in Tripura that the party would focus on reorganizing and strengthening the Tripura state unit in the days ahead. The leader inaugurated Kusha Bhau Bhawan – the new building of BJP Tripura state committee at Advisor Chowmuhani area in Agartala this
morning.
Interacting with the media later on the day, Ramlalji said that the party under the stewardship of Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi would now focus on strengthening party units in all states where
the organizational power was still weak. “We will work on strengthening the party as a part of the initiative”, he said.
The BJP veteran today further said that Tripura has already indicated its support to the saffron camp by offering five seats in the last three tier panchayat election. He congratulated the party’s state unit and said that their efforts were well appreciated in the centre. “We have asked the state leaders to focus on building the party’s booth level.
We are confident that BJP will make good result in the 2018 Tripura assembly polls”, Ramlalji said. Asked about future strategy of the party, the veteran leader said that the party would send a second central team soon to follow up the incidents of post-poll violence against BJP workers and supporters
following the results of panchayat election.
A team led by BJP in-charge of NER states SS Ahluwalia visited post election violence affected areas of the state in July and submitted a report to the party’s high-command.
