AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy, the Chief Guest of Rajdhani Express's inauguration programme at Agartala Railway Station on Saturday in a sharp attack on the continuous false claims of the CPI-M Ministers and MPs that Rajdhani to BG lines all are outcomes of Tripura's CPI-M's rail movements since Dasarath Dev's era. Even though not a single appreciation was dedicated for the Central Minister, but CPI-M's all Minister had been mentioning "Dasarath Deb was MP in 1952 to raise railway demand then at the Parliament". Not only this, instead of thanking PM Modi for his special initiative to boost Northeast connectivity and finally gifting Tripura with the most luxurious train i.e. Rajdhani Express, the CPI-M leaders were murmuring with continuous allegations as "Tripura has been deprived of various facilities, including stoppages to be provided by the Rajdhani, slow work of Agartala-Sabroom Railway line" etc.

Tathagata Roy asked the CPI-M MP and Ministers (Manik Dey, Badal Chowdhury, MP Sankar Prasad Dutta, MP Jiten Chowdhury), "Railway movement since 1952 is alright but why it took 70 years fulfill the demands (under CPI-M backed UPA regime of decades) ? It proves, not only movement but the perspective and attitudes towards development actually matters".

Replying CPI-M's query why at Ambassa, no stoppage was given, Roy said, "It's Rajdhani. A single stoppage means not only to stop at there, but to take passengers and moreover it takes much times to get the speed back. All these things matter when running an express train. I was working for long in Railway for years and so I know the reasons".

In reply of CPI-M Ministers' allegation of "Slow-Agartala-Sabroom" project, Roy said, "I asked the Railway Minister about it just now. This is totally a wrong allegation as Indian Railway has been always excellent in its work progress. Due to flood it was delayed but within 2018 up to Belonia the project to be completed, whereas within 2019 it will reach till Sabroom".

On Saturday, with a historical move, Railway Minister for State Rajen Gohain has flagged off much awaiting Rajdhani Express at Agartala at 2.30 PM. The Express train is the 9th train that Tripura is getting after Broad Gauge which was launched in 2016.

" PM Modi had determined to develop Northeast. Today we have broad gauge. Only at Sikkim, we couldn't launch BG service due to land acquisition problems. Tripura is undergoing tremendous changes, development due to Railway expansion and I can see that", said Rajen Gohain.

" Today across the country Railway is expanding its network, laying tracks to connect, join all the States", said Gohain.

Union Railway Ministry's tight slap of preventing foul mouthed Manik Sarkar's entry into this historic Rajdhani Express inauguration was a signal that CPI-M's term ending in 3 months.
