UDAIPUR, Oct 25 (TIWN): District & Sessions Judge, Udaipur Gomati, Tripura, has convicted 01 (One) accused person namely Sri Rajendra Tripura @ Rajendra Kumar @ Repen @ Biswal @ Bijoy S/O Bangshi Kr. Tripura of Ramchandra Para, Sankar Tilla PS Manubazar, under South Tripura District.

 On 01-07-2015, Silachari PS Case No. 2015SLC009 U/S- 366(A) IPC, was registered on the basis of written complaint of Sri Shyama Charan Tripura @ Mayur (50) S/O Sachidhan Tripura of Dharma Para PS Silachari under Gomati District against the one unknown person. Though initially the case was registered against the unknown accused but subsequently the accused could be identified as  Sri Rajendra Tripura @ Rajendra Kumar @ Repen @ Biswal @ Bijoy S/O Bangshi Kr. Tripura of Ramchandra Para, Sankar Tilla PS Manubazar,  under South Tripura District   

 During investigation on the weight of evidence I.O of the case arrested the accused and forwarded him to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation considering evidence charge sheet was filed by SI Indrajit Das, I.O of the case on 31-03-2016, against the accused person namely Sri Rajendra Tripura @ Rajendra Kumar @ Repen @ Biswal @ Bijoy S/O Bangshi Kr. Tripura of Ramchandra Para, Sankar Tilla PS Manubazar, under South Tripura District; vide Silachari PS C/S No. 01/2016 U/S- 366(A)/376(2)(n)/417 IPC & U/S 4 & 5(L) Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2012.

 The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Sri Rajendra Tripura is guilty U/S 376 IPC and sentenced him to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and  also to pay fine of Rs-2000/- in default to pay a fine to suffer simple imprisonment for 02(Two) Months more.
