AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Agartala NGO named "Promise Social and Cultural Welfare Foundation" has celebrated Diwali with homeless people of the Capital City Agartala.

NGOs distributed clothes  and candles to the homeless people in Agartala city who are compelled to prefer the market sheds and the footpaths for their day to day living.
Nearly a week ago,  the said NGO announced three of their important projects namely " Annapurna ",  an efficient food bank for the poor ;  " Boi Ghar",  a book bank for those Meritorious Students of the state who become unable to buy new books for their poverty ; and " Bastra Bhandar",  a cloth bank for the poor.  This time,  the cloth bank was in full swing to put a smile on the faces of the footpath-livers.  Somehow,  the team managed to arrange some new and some donated clothes,  and then they distributed it to whom who needed those.
"Nothing can be more precious than earning a simple smile from them by a little effort.  The team visited every nook and corner of the city in search of them and the people were very much happy to find the members celebrating pre Diwali with them in a different approach", said the NGO members.

The cloth bank project has officially started its journey with the smiles and the blessings of those people who really need a little help to sail out the worst.
