AGARTALA, Sep 28 (TIWN): Across the hilly state Tripura, heavy rush of devotees were seen in various Ramakrishna Missions.
In 8 districts the mission led Durga puja was observed with full enthusiasm.
At Udaipur, Dharmanagar also thousands of devotees rushed to see the Maha-Astami puja, that is being held once in a year.
Kumari Puja is also organized in many community puja marquees and the households where the goddess is worshipped.
Thousands of devotees, including movie stars and sports personalities, rushed early morning to offer 'anjali' (floral offerings) to the goddess.
The generally five-day carnival, shortened to a four-day affair this year as decreed by the almanac, is being celebrated across the state with enthusiasm and religious fervour.
