AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Tripura paying heavy price for Manik Sarkar's misrule as incapable Chief Minister rather than punishing guilty Police officials and tightening noose against criminal IPFT elements, has chosen to punish lakhs of law abiding mobile internet users. Resentment continues after Santanu murder fueled by Internet cut led by CM Manik Sarkar's Home Ministry. Instead of arresting the culprits, Tripura Govt has suspended internet service that has generated mass anger among the common people ahead of Durga Puja. Apart from Bank and ATMs, people are under trouble to find out dress collections, check the offers in various shopping malls, beauty parlours due to the internet service's down.

But till day not a single police officer was suspended or arrested even though allegation raised against police for 'not saving Santanu' and after 2 hours of his critical injuries, Sananu was taken to GB hospital when he already died.  SP Khowai Nagendra Debbarma's role in Santanu murder case has been under scanner but no action was taken against him.

Bhanulal Saha remains speechless when asked, 'Why and how in front of troops Sanatnu was murdered, when section 144 was already implemented ?' After hitting the Minister again and again, Saha replied, "Tripura police didn't experienced such violent incidents earlier. Thus police couldn't take action on the spot". This unexpected reply of the ICA Minister says clearly that Tripura Govt and its police can not control violence and thus central govt's intervene to the law and order is must. Tripura journalist Santanu was murdered at Mandai, when section-144 was already implemented. Bhanulal Saha said, "Only police can not control everything. When common people take the role the matters get worst. The situation is better now".

Being asked by Journalists whether SP Khowai Nagendra Debbarma was related in triggering violence, ICA Minister Bhanulal Saha said, "I do not have such information. Police is working day and night work".

"The incident was sudden and beyond control. Naturally at Mandai it was same and the new system of stone pelting was out of fashion. Such symptoms are experiencing by police for the first time", said ICA Minister Bhanulal Saha.

But journalists were unready to accept Satanu's murder was 'Instant' and 'Beyond Control'. The journalists added, "Police duty is to save ownself or to save the public ? Yesterday's incident clearly says in front of police Santanu was killed and after killing his deadbody was smashed, kicked and insulted. What kind of situation it is ?"

"I am not going for any debate for this. But the fascists kind of people have turned violent in demand of Tipraland. Earlier, such incidents never happened earlier. So police is experiencing these", said Saha.
