AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): Time has come when like Naxals, voice should be raised to ban IPFT that has spotted Tripura’s history by killing a young journalist. Ofcourse for that the state govt has to prove that IPFT killed Santanu, not GMP. Eventhough, it has not been proven who killed Santanu but allegation of till now says IPFT activists killed Santanu. Apart from that the increasing tension on hills ahead of the Assembly Election is due to the illogical demand of a separate land. Tripura CPI-M Govt had always opposed clearly against any division of land. Other political parties also have opposed Tipraland, eventhough with a marginal difference of giving more power to ADC. Now a big question before all the political parties and the state govt is : Will Tripura Govt propose to abolish IPFT just as NLFT was banned earlier ?

Murder of journalist is unbearable and media will not spare the state govt and political parties if proper action is not taken within few hours.

Journalists of Tripura are shocked, grieved with the murder of young journalist Santanu Bhowmik, although even after long agitations only 2 persons has been arrested so far.

Santanu was the first murdered journalist in Tripura’s history and thus Sep-20 has been spotted as the dark day of Tripura.

In a brutal attack during IPFT / CPI-M clash has killed Tripura young journalist Santanu Bhowmik on Wednesday. Resident of Jirania, the young journalist was associated with various electronic media who has been killed while covering IPFT and CPI-M clash at Mandai.

The barbaric murder has taken place in the afternoon when after getting informed about an ongoing tension on that hilly zone, Santanu rushed to Mandai to cover the incident.

Santanu born on 12 January, 1989, studied at Birendra Nagar High School, Vinayaka Missions University. A source said, Santanu was stretched from the market area and taken to the jungle and with sharp weapon he was killed.
