Agartala, Aug 11 (TIWN): The crucial state committee meeting of CPI (M) is scheduled to be held here on Aug 19. The two-day long state committee meet will conclude on Aug 20, said CPI (M) State Secretary Bijan Dhar.

The said meet would focus on the 21^st state conference scheduled to be held at Sonamura sub division. Party’s branch meeting will start from September. The state committee meeting will finalize the names of the convener of 8 district committee.

It is worthy to mention here that more than 6000 branch conventions under 23 divisional committee and 222 regional committees of CPI (M) starting from September would continue till October. Later on, the branch conventions will be followed by regional convention and divisional conference.

District convention is scheduled to be held for the first time and then the 21^st state conference. Centering round the 21^st state conference, CPI (M) would be conducting conventions in each places on various issues.

The conventions would highlight the recently conducted three-tier Panchayat poll and Lok Sabha election. This is for the first time, BJP and TMC opened their account in the three-tier Panchayat election.

In case of parliamentary politics, the state leaders would hold discussion on the achievement of BJP and TMC and CPI (M) Politburo member Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is expected to discuss over vote.
