AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): CPI-M controlled Tripura’s murky student politics again under scanner as ruling party illegally manipulating election process.Ahead of College Election on Sep-12, chaos, fights among SFI and ABVP are hitting the campus everyday. On Wednesday BBMC (Bir Bikram Memorial College) had undergone tensed situation when police strictly denied ABVP members' entrance in the College with flags and banners. ABVP urged to enter saying that SFI always carry their flags but the police said there is no chance of any flags existence inside the college. Verbal duals among police and ABVP turned into clashes and the ABVP students entered the student council and recovered many flags from the SFI Student Council. However, the ABVP members were also seen to throw chairs inside the council alleging those infrastructure for being College property.
The incident occurred when ABVP were submitting nomination papers in the College. However, the ABVPs also recovered SFI banners from the campus.
SFI’s one of the prominent face Nilanjana Roy saed, “Chi ! Chi ! Chi ! Once again BJP led student union have proven their intention in the name of nomination submission”.
SFI Secretary Nabarun Deb said, “From Gouri Lankesh to BBMC council everywhere attacking is saffron party’s identity. Public will say the last words”.
However, recently such clashes have turned everyday incidents in Colleges ahead of Election. On Sep 1st, during nomination submitting, one ABVP member was injured and assaulted by SFIs.
