UDAIPUR, Aug 20 (TIWN): The Ld. J.M 1st Class Court No.03, Udaipur Gomati Tripura, has convicted one person namely Sri Sankar Debnath (25) S/O Lt. Dhirendra Debnath of Tepania PS R.K.Pur, Gomati District U/S 279/304(A) IPC.
On 27-06-2010 R.K.Pur PS Case No. 2010RKP210 U/S- 279/304(A) IPC was registered on the compliant of one Sri Susanta Majumder S/O Lt. Anukul Majumder of Shalghara PS R.K.Pur, against the Driver of vehicle B/No.TR-03-2258 (Commander Jeep). The fact of the case in brief is that on 25-06-2010 at about 1400 hrs father of the complainant was waiting for vehicle to go to Atharobhola at road head of Dhajanagar Police Line at that time one vehicle Bearing No. TR-03 2258 (Commander Jeep) was proceeding towards Agartala from Udaipur side & dashed to father of the complainant. As a result he received grievous injuries on his person and shifted to TSD Hospital Udaipur subsequently he was referred to GBP Hospital Agartala and On 25-06-2010 at 2330 hrs he succumbed to his injuries.
After investigation I.O of the case SI Badal Mallik filed Charge-sheet on 31-07-2010 vide R.K.Pur PS C/S No. 230/2010, U/S 279/304(A) IPC against the Driver of offending vehicle namely Sri Sankar Debnath(25) S/O Lt. Dhirendra Debnath of Tepania PS R.K.Pur, Gomati District.
The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused person namely Sri Sankar Debnath (25) is guilty U/S 279/304(A) IPC and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment 06 (Six) Months for the commission of offence punishable U/S 279 IPC & sentence to suffer rigorous imprisonment 01 (One) Year for the commission of offence punishable U/S 304(A) IPC. Both the sentence shall run concurrently.
