AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): With a major jolt CPI-M spokesperson Goutam Das has given once again anti-nationalist remark saying that, “Indira Gandhi has seen her ultimate destination due to her actions related to emergencyâ€. “People has given her the exact answer what she deserved following emergency eraâ€, said Das. Question raising, whereas the whole country remind Indira Gandhi for her dedication to the nation, how can a topmost party leader make such a remark ? The CPI-M spokesperson was talking regarding CM Manik Sarkar’s I-Day speech attempting to justify it standing in front of All India Radio centre. Das said that CM’s speech was not Anti-Nationalist but it was a self-evolution (Atmasamikhha). “It was a judgementary talk on where we stand on the 70th Independence Day. What should be the nation’s condition and how much it is lagging behind than the expectationâ€, said Das. Manik Sarkar on 15th August said that though Indians attained independence 70 years ago, they were yet to gain economic independence due to faulty policies pursued by powers that be since 1947.
However, the emergency was mentioned by BhanulalSaha, the ICA Minister also claiming that the emergency situation has been repeated under Modi Govt after it was experienced in Indira Gandhi’s time.
ICA Minister BhanulalSaha in a press conference held on Wednesday told media that it's a kind of emergency situation emerged in the country after Doordarshan rejects CM's speech. Reacting over DD's rejection of CM's speech, Saha said, "They asked to cut the speech of CM but CM clearly said it's not possible. Same also happened in Nripen Chakraborty's time once as per my knowledge", said Saha.
"CM's speech was normal. What such anti-nationalist he said ? 15 August speech happens like that only. However, whatever their propaganda-motto they might have followed on 15th August", said Saha. Asking about what state govt will do, Saha said, "We will do propaganda against it".
In the name of protests the CPI-M led by Goutam Das have almost attacked on Prasar Bharti and All India Radio Station at Agartala on Friday asking why 'CM's speech was not shown in their media?'.
Goutam Das also said, “Whatever CM said, it was exact and a perfect speech for I-Day”.
