'Developed countries are buying our Doctors from Indian Market' : Manik Sarkar

AGARTALA, Aug 18 (TIWN): While addressing on the occasion of 14th foundation Institute of Nursing and Science at Durjoynagar, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said, "Doctor crisis is not only a problem of India but it's a crisis ongoing across the globe". "It's true that the numbers of doctors are less in compare to what it ought to be. Our country is suffering from shortage of doctors but again the developed countries are taking our Doctors from Indian markets".

However, amid his health service's pathetic shape when people are dying without treatments due to negligence of doctors, Sarkar was criticizing Centre's attempt of privatizing the health service.

Since 8 years in Tripura Homeopathy Doctors are not recruited, nursing passed out students recently held protests demanding recruitment, but Sarkar said country has shortage of doctors. 

Manik Sarkar told the students there are hard chances of jobs waiting for them after they pass out.

"Students come in this profession out of need, to get jobs as whole world is suffering from lack of Nurses as well as Doctors. So seeing the demand, students are taking admissions", said Sarkar.

"But the employment-condition of our country is in very pathetic shape. 22 to 25 crores of unemployed youths are hitting the country. Who will give you jobs ?", said Sarkar.

"No work, no job. Also factories are getting closed in our country", said Sarkar.

However, CM further urged the students to love their profession and serve the nation.
