AGARTALA, July 16 (TIWN): Eventhough after 7 days of a continuous blockade called by IPFT, CM has opened his mouth due to opposition BJP's pressure, but like a sweet uncle CM has asked IPFT to withdraw the strike over Tripura transport blockade. Against such weak political party which had failed to arrange together a 5000 people in the first day left collapsed with not even than 500 people constant for blocking road at Baramura, the CPI-M Govt is acting like a handicapped govt and thus dumped all the problems to the Central Home Ministry to deal. However, this press conference was nothing but an eye wash after opposition party had threatened CM to block his movement unless he stop the blockade. Also with the allegation of surrendered militant Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl's in the afternoon about Tripura Govt and IPFT's nexus, CM preferred a press conference to prove himself as an innocent home minister, as he said, 'No Govt gives any blockade's permission which is meant for an uncertain period of time'.Chief Minister said, "Withdraw the blockade as people are suffering". He also added, "'Today, Govt Officials held meeting with them and requested them to withdraw the strike, but they said after talking to Home Ministry on Monday they will finalize", whereas N C Debbarma said that without tripartite meeting IPFT will not withdraw the blockade."I have talked to the Central Home Ministry in this regard and in future also we will give our stand if asked", CM added.
Question raises, what is stopping the Chief Minister to arrest the blockers who are doing strike without state govt's permission. IPFT's blockade is going without permission was proven when CM said, "Does any govt give permission for uncertain time of blockade"?
Surprising, CPI-M Govt claims for ending terrorism from the grasswood level and now this is the same govt acting like a lamb which has duped everything to the central govt.
However, All Tripura Indigenous regional Party Forum leader surrendered militant Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl today afternoon has accused Tripura CM behind this road blockade called by IPFT. Addressing the press meet, Hrangkhawl said, 'Knowing well that Tripura National Highway, Railway blockade would hit the state with crisis situation, how administration permitted the IPFTs for the blockade?"
N C Debbarma said after meeting with Tripura Govt Officials today, "Tripura Govt is treating us as almost untouchable (Asprishya) and left them to suffer at Baramura. Since many days we are there at Baramura, but not a single Govt official visited us there'.
