Flood damages continue at Agartala : Tripura Govt's flood management committee yet to start functioning

AGARTALA, June 21 (TIWN): State Govt's rescue team yet to begin its operation actively across flood victimized areas. The team which was constituted with the special initiatives of Tripura Govt on Tuesday chaired by the Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, Agriculture Minister Aghore Debbarma, Chief Secretary of the state yet to start their operation in Agartala flood-damaged areas. During media coverage of Wednesday morning the locals of Baldakhal, Srilanka Bosti like places alleged whereas damages has been continued across Howrah river banks, many houses are on the verges of destruction but no Minister has visited the spots and met the victims. Apart from that above 3000 flood victims were reported from various places but proper fooding, lodging arrangements and rescue operation yet to take a start, TIWN reported. At Agartala flood victimized areas Govt has given a pause after SDM and DM officials visits, Wednesday's morning 11 AM's report says.

The Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha on Tuesday afternoon announced about the flood management committee's formation but after 24 hours of passage the team yet to come out of the Secretariat.

Tripura Govt has constituted a flood management team which will operate with flood dangers, that the state is already facing, in a press conference Finance Minister Bhnaulal Saha told media on Tuesday.

Atleast 2 people have died in last few days due to constant rain and over 2500 flood victims were reported. A team has been constituted led by the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Finance Minister Bhnaulal Saha and Agriculture Minister Aghore Debbarma are also the member of the team.

However, in press conference in the evening  BJP Spokesperson Ashok Sinha said that Tripura Disaster Management is very weak which is under CM Manik Sarkar and the state govt remained uttered failure to handle with the flood situation.
