AGARATALA, June 16 (TIWN): Demanding the withdrawal of Pay Review Committee, Tripura Trinamool Congress on Friday demanded a pay commission to set up in Tripura. Trinamool Congress also raised the issue, what would happen if 3rd pay commission was not established by Congress Govt as Tripura Govt never set up any Pay Commission but continued with review committees only. Challenging the state Govt Tripura Trinamool MLA Sudip Barman said in a press conference that in 2009-10 Rs. 160 croes of DA remained unpaid with merely 13 % DA hike, whereas in 2011-12 FY 211 crores 27 lakhs rupees left unpaid for DA.

In the same manner in 2012-13 the unpaid stock stood Rs. 366.1 lkhs, whereas in 2013-14 FY it was again with the blessing of review committee 565 crores of DA remained unpaid.

Thus in 2017 the whole amount stands with 1,473 crores 12 lakhs which is now giving to the employees. "It is the latest joke done by the left front govt to its employees", said Sudip Barman.

The party further claimed not a single rupee was hiked but the 37 % DA was paid to the employee.

"This was nothing but an eyewash as a major section of Govt employees in Tripura are not at all alert about their rights", said Barman.

"Before people understand anything, the govt sent its HAGABA employees to hold a rally and thank the govt", said Sudip Barman.

Barman also asked what will the state govt do when the 15th finance commission will come here.

"There will be more pay commissions in coming days but Tripura Govt's policy is based on the reviews which did not do any review this time, but only false propaganda about review".

Comparing the probable salary, the Govt said, "If a primary school teacher will get here Rs. 16,540, a central primary teacher is already getting Rs. 35, 400. In case of graduate teachers, Tripura is getting around Rs. 23,000 whereas at Central it's around Rs. 45,000. Same in cases of PGT they are getting more than 47,000 and we are getting around 30,000 even after the review".
