AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): Not river Gomati, but it was the elder’s negligence led the 9 years girl Simani to drown in Gomati river.

The reason for which Simani was taken nearby the river was highly risky. When flood threats are hitting the Northeastern states, Simani’s aunt took her to visit the river banks and enjoy the water level’s rising.

The 9 years girl Simani Jamatia, D/O- Amar Manik Jamatia was drowned with Gomati river's flow on last Monday.

Her body was recovered from Maharani Barrage in Udaipur-Amarpur way.

Simani Jamatia was studying in Class-3 at Korbhuk Ekalabya  school went with her aunt to see the Gomati river water level.

But keeping her alone, her aunt just went to a hands distance that the land where Simani was standing it collapsed and thus river Gomati flew her.

Simani's dead body was recovered by locals at Maharani barrage.
