AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Two veteran Communist leaders have joined BJP on Sunday along with 360 more CPI-M, Congress members at the party office on Sunday. Former MLA Jiten Sarkar earlier was in CPI-M then in Congress for around 2 decades and again joined CPI-M in 2016 and has finally joined BJP with his followers. On the other side, with a major jolt for CPI-M in ADC, the MDC there have joined along with many other veteran Congress, CPI-M leaders of the state in the presence of General Secretary Ramlal Ji. Addressing the press conference, Jiten Sarkar exposed various CPI-M's poll agenda saying that CPI-M invests Rs 2 crores per booth. Sarkar also said that before joining Trinamool, along with him Sudip Barman met Amit Shah at New Delhi, but 'Sudip Barman's intension was bad and rejected to join BJP saying that it will be insulting for him to work under the then President Sudhindra Dasgupta". Joy Kishore Jamatia who was suspended by Communist party with an allegation of womenization, said, "Without proves CPI-M suspended me and today when they heard I am joining in BJP, CPI-M Head Quarter call told me not to join as they will save my MDC post".

Jamatia also revealed various ADC scams during the press conference with the allegation of ADC fund looting by CPI-M since Atal Bihari Vajpayee's time.

"ADC has left without development whereas after NITI Ayaog was introduced in the country Tripura received 186 crores for ADC but as the MDC I could not do anything due to massive corruption in the party", said Jamatia.

However, more veteran leaders from Congress and CPI-M had joined as Adv. Chandrashekhar Sinha, Adv Siraj Ali,  Dr. Ramesh Das and more than 350 members from both the parties joined the BJP in the presence of Chief BJP leaders of the state.
