AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): BJP led disgruntled state govt employees hit street on Saturday demanding immediate implementation of 7th pay commission to end 24 years apathy of CPI-M. BJP led protest march hit the ruling CPI-M demanding 7th Pay Commission, when Chief Minister is holding the Pay Review decision unveiled since a week. A massive rally was conducted by Tripura BJP led by BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar, BJP State President Biplab Deb, Subol Bhowmik, VP Rampada Jamatia, Ratan Chakraborty and others amidst high security provided the protesters when poll tensions have gripped the state. BJP is conducting day to day activities in attempt to launch 7th Pay Commission for the state govt employees. However, BJP’s poll agenda with 7th pay commission has been working well as BJP has promised after the first cabinet meeting, BJP Govt will introduce 7th pay commission, if BJP comes in power in 2018.

On May-29, a deputation was placed before all the SDMs of all subdivisions in the state with the issue of delaying 7th Pay Commission's implementation by CPI-M Govt.

At Agartala SDM Soumit Choudhury also received the 7th Pay Commission demand paper from BJP.

These moves are getting completed as per pre-schedule after BJP completed its ‘Signature Campaigning’ on May-24 for all the Govt Employees in support of 7th Pay Commission.

BJP State President said that instead of spreading rumours about pay hike, Govt should implement 7th pay commission when Central Govt is sponsoring the whole salary.

CPI-M spokesperson Goutam Das however in defense citing example of Congress era said, “In Congress Era P Chidambaram campaigned in Tripura about various salary hike issues and pay commissions’ implementation but after the election was over then CPI-M Ministers met him and asked about pay commission, but he didn’t fulfill our demands. In the same manner BJP will also not implement pay commission… all these are just for coming in power”.

BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar counterattacking Das said in a press conference, “I had promised the employees that if BJP comes in power, then within 6 months 7th Pay Commission will be implemented, then State President Biplab Deb after discussing with the Central Govt announced it with 3 months, but new circulation has come that after the first cabinet meeting the 7th pay commission will be implemented.
