AGARTALA / AMBASSA, May 30 (TIWN): Voicing against the long deprivation and alleged corruption held under Principal Secretary GSG Ayyangar led Tripura RD Dept, Tripura's surrendered militants all set to block road at Dhalai Dist on June 2nd in front of DM. Holding a press conference at Agartala Press Club led by a joint forum of surrendered militants named 'Joint Action Co-ordination Committee' (JACC), the members alleged that even though the returnees are living normal lives but suffering from various burning problems. Due to various corruption under Dhalai the BRP, IAY, PMAY schemes under RD Dept could not facilitate the returnees till day and continuous massive looting of helpless people's money turned the matter worst.

Eventhough various times they raised demands for proper implementation of the scheme for them, but the Dept remained silent with such issues. Thus, seeking a permanent solution to the problems, the forum will sit in hunger strike and if within 12 hours of hunger strike their demands are not fulfilled, a 72 hours road blockade will be conducted in front of DM Office.

Another allegation was also brought that a total 1148 Nos of returnees is not recorded in the S.P. Office.

The agitators further demanded CBI inquiry against the ongoing corruption under RD Dept for IAY, PMAY, BRP Scheme.

The protesters also urged to withdraw the pending court cases and implantation of horticulture / rubber production schemes by the state govt.
