AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Minor girls are no where safe in Tripura and the concerns are raising with the increasing rape, molestation complains, worsening by the inactive role of police dept in it. In last 24 hours 2 protests were held in demand of arresting the accused as the criminals were found roaming at release, even after lodging of FIR. A 5 years girl was raped at Hapania but remained without action. Tripura Trinamool Chatra Parishad hit East Women Police Station with another protest, issuing a rape case of a 7 years girl recently took place at the Capital City. Apart from that the continuous day to day rape, molestation reports from various subdivisions are coming that rising questions on the law and order situation in the state.

Although, incidents are uncontrolled but the strict law and order system actions of police and proper chargesheets could curb the crime against minor girls, but in Tripura more than 80 % cases remain unconvicted due to the lightly taking attitude of such dangerous  issues.

However, standing in this point when everyday 2 rapes are taking place in Tripura, CM Manik Sarkar (also Tripura Home Minister) said recently, "There is not a single state, single district whereas crime against women does not happen". CM also suggested the society to take responsibly as law can not control everything.

It's worthy to mention here that there was total 446 crime against women only in last 6 months. In July 2016 total 21 rape case were registered, in 2016 August total 22 cases, in 2016 Sept 19 cases, in 2016 Oct 16, November 15, December 18 and in January 17.

Apart from that including all kinds of crime against women as dowry deaths, molestation etc. in July 2016 total cases registered 63, in 2016 August total 82 cases, in 2016 Sept 69 cases, in 2016 Oct 68, November 65, December 61 and in January 58.

Among them 130 rape cases among them 68 were minors and 47 were adults.
