Justice weeps silently

UDAIPUR, May 15 (TIWN): The parents were roaming infront of the Udaipur Court for justice with tears in eyes, carrying their daughter's photo, who is no more in the world.

Reportedly, in the year 2015 Arjun Ghosh, resident of Murapara, gave his daughter Rakhi Ghosh's marriage to Sukanta Deb, S/O-Samir Deb at Kankata Chowmuhani, Udaipur.

Rs. 75,000 along with furniture were gifted  the marriage but 10,000 rupees was yet to give in Rakhi's law's family members.

As a result, unbearable tortures were done to her since the beginning of her marriage and many time she was sent to her parents home.

Sukanta Deb's mother Sila Deb allegedly tortured her  mostly.

Then it was on 2017-May 3rd, when Rakhi's parents were called at hospital saying that she committed suicide.

But Arjun Ghosh and his family could not accept her death as can be suicide. They complained that her mother in law, father in law, husband killed her and then attempted to show  it a suicidal case.

In the Kakrabon PS, the 17/ 2017 case was registered under 498-A, 304-B, 34-IPC but till day not a single person was arrested against the charges.

Recently various threatening are giving to the poor victim family to withdraw the case. Sukanta Deb's family also offered Rs. 3 lakhs to them, but Rakhi's parents wants justice.

A case has been filed in Udaipur CJM Court and the lawyers, people present at the Court called media and gave the parents a chance to deliver their statement.

Rakhi was their only daughter who since her marriage, was tortured for dowry but police is utter reluctant to take any action against the culprits.
